Bench Grinder Modifications and Tooling

The bench grinder is a 6" bench grinder from Machine Mart. It is very capable, but the tool-rests that come as standard are (like most bench grinders) rubbish.

• Grinder Angle Gauges: 3D printed gauges for setting the angle of the tool supports.
• Grinder Tool Supports: replacing the rubbish tool supports that come with the grinder.
• Tangential Tool Grinding Jig: a simple jig for grinding tangential turning tools.
• Threading Tool Grinding Jig: a simple jig for grinding threading tools.
• Grinder Dust Collection: a very simple method of catching some of the grinding dust from the back of the grinder.
• Grinding Rest: an advanced grinding rest for tool grinding.
• Adjustable Diamond Dresser: a simple modification that helps with dressing a grinder wheel.
• Slow-Speed Grinder: a slow-speed grinder using low-cost diamond grinding discs.

I am a hobbyist metalworker and woodworker. I work as an electronic design engineer and spend most of my working days in front of a computer so I enjoy having the opportunity to use my hands and make things in my spare time.
