Steel Drawer Unit

These are some simple drawers I made from steel. The frame is made from 20 mm box section, with angle iron for the drawers to run on.

The drawers were made from 0.8 mm thick mild steel, bent with my Sheet Metal Bender. The handles were bought rather than made (sold as handles for kitchen cabinets I think).

When I made the drawer unit, I intended to paint it, but I hate painting and they don't seem to have rusted after 5 years so I can't see myself ever getting round to it.

I am a hobbyist metalworker and woodworker. I work as an electronic design engineer and spend most of my working days in front of a computer so I enjoy having the opportunity to use my hands and make things in my spare time. I particularly enjoy making tools as I can then use them on other projects. This website showcases some of the things I've made.
