Shelf Unit
This is a simple shelf unit I made for my other half. It's made out of ash, with dovetail joints on the corners and tapered dovetail housing joints (also known as tapered sliding dovetails) for the shelves. The back is a (rather poor quality) piece of plywood that my other half decorated with a relief map of the Lake District.
Most of the construction was done with hand tools (the ash was a pig to plane!), although the plywood back was cut up with a track saw. You can read all the details of the construction in the build log.
