Filing Machine

This is a filing machine, also known as a die filer. It is based entirely on Harold Hall's design and (unusually for me!) I don't think I changed anything about the core design, with the only alterations being changing the base plate to suit my lathe.

As this is based on someone else's design rather than mine, I haven't written much about the details. However, it works very well indeed and I'd wholeheartedly recommend going and reading Harold's website.

I am a hobbyist metalworker and woodworker. I work as an electronic design engineer and spend most of my working days in front of a computer so I enjoy having the opportunity to use my hands and make things in my spare time. I particularly enjoy making tools as I can then use them on other projects. This website showcases some of the things I've made.
