Miscellaneous Boxes
I've added this page to the site to cover a few boxes I've made that were either part of another project or didn't seem to merit a page of their own. They'll just have a picture and a brief description. As I make more boxes this page will probably gradually grow.
The first box above is a simple sliding lid box made of of American Black Walnut. I like this style of box as they're very quick and satisfying to make.
This box was made using my Travel Tool Chest & Workbench while on holiday in Brittany. It is made of oak, with a red oak lining and red oak splines. The main reason I made this box was to test the mitre-shooting capability of the shooting-board that's integrated into the tool chest. I wrote up the process of making it and you can read that starting on page 135 of the travel tool chest build log.
I made two of these boxes (to hold pegs) at the same time as making a pair of peg looms as gifts. The boxes are made from American Black Walnut and oak.
This website is free and ad-free, but costs me money to run. If you'd like to support this site, please consider making a small donation or sending me a message to let me know what you liked or found useful.
