Weighted Base Box

This is a small and simple box made out of padauk and maple. What's slightly unusual about it is that there's a big lump of lead hidden inside it. I made it as I wanted a box for keeping earplugs on my bedside table. I wanted to be able to grab the earplugs in the dark without there being a risk of knocking the box flying across the room - the lead makes it want to stay put!
