More Tea Caddies

I've made quite a few of these tea caddies now. The first one (which has its own page) was made as a gift, using a 3D-printed dovetail saw guide. Since then, I've got better at cutting dovetails and all of the ones on this page were made without any jigs apart from the simple one I used to drill the hinge holes.

The two that you can see above were made using my travel tool chest while on holiday in Brittany. The Keemun tea box is cherry and the other is American Black Walnut. I wrote up the process of making them in the build log for the tool chest; the write-up of the first caddy starts on page 130.

This tea caddy was also made using the tool chest, again while on holiday in Brittany. This one, however, was done before I'd finished making the tool chest. Again this was made out of American Black Walnut and it was another gift. I didn't get any photos of it after applying the mineral oil finish.

This one is very similar to the first and was made over the course of a weekend not long after getting back from the holiday on which I made the first two. I didn't take any in-progress photos as the process was very similar to others.
