Two Boxes with Drawers
The box you can see above was made using my travel tool chest while on holiday in Brittany. I wrote up the process of making the box in detail in the build log for the tool chest; the write-up of this box starts on page 137. The carcase is made of American Black Walnut. The drawer fronts, carcase back and feet (not visible in this photo, but you'll find a photo of the underside in the build description) are maple. The drawer sides, back and bases are sweet chestnut. The knobs are made of American Black Walnut and were made using my home-made woodturning lathe after I got back home after the holiday.
This is another drawer box. Again this was made using my travel tool chest while on holiday, but this one was made while the tool chest was still a work-in-progress. I didn't write-up the build process and didn't get any photos after oiling it (it was given as a present so I no longer have it to take photos). The drawer is made of sweet chestnut; the carcase and the drawer pull are made out of an unknown wood that might or might not be teak.
