Tool Post Drill

This is a simple mount for using a Dremel multi-tool on the lathe. This can be very useful in combination with my dividing attachment. It was designed before I made my quick change tool post, but I use it so rarely that it didn't seem worth remaking it.

Manufacture was relatively simple. The body is made from a piece of equal angle, which was drilled in three places for the mounting screws. Transfer punches were used to transfer these holes onto a 16 mm square piece of mild steel. The mild steel was then drilled and tapped M6 in all three places. The angle was then mounted in the tool post and a centre drill was chucked and used to mark centre height. The angle was then removed and mounted in the four-jaw chuck. The hole for the Dremel was then bored to size.
